Policy and Best Practice Lead Nature Recovery (Fixed term contract, to 31 March 2026) This role is full time (37 hours per week). This includes playing a key role in representing National Parks as we work with colleagues across National Landscapes, National Parks, and National Trails as part of the Protected Landscapes Partnership. We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Policy and Best Practice Lead to play a pivotal role in shaping our policy and advocacy work in National Parks with a particular focus on nature recovery and climate resilience policy. This role will be crucial in advancing our evidence base, supporting strategic advocacy efforts, and ensuring our policy recommendations are robust, well-informed, and effectively communicated. As a key member of the team at National Parks England, you will contribute to research, policy analysis, and stakeholder engagement, ensuring that our work is grounded in the latest evidence and best practice. This role will involve working closely with colleagues in National Park Authorities and the Protected Landscapes Partnership, to build consensus and facilitate development of clear policy positions on key issues, produce policy briefings, conducting desk-based research, tracking political developments, and supporting engagement with decision-makers.
