An excellent opportunity has come up within the Early Support Service (ESS), Early Years Inclusion Support (EYIS) in Birmingham. The Early Support Worker supports the education, learning, and development of babies and pre-school children with special educational needs and/or disabilities following the statutory guidance document Special Educational Needs and Disability Code of Practice: 0-25 years (Department for Education and Department of Health and Social Care, 2014/15). Babies and pre-school children who are at home and do not attend an early years setting receive direct education support from the Early Support Service (ESS).
We require an experienced and qualified early years practitioner that has a passion for supporting children who are 0-4 years old with special educational needs/disabilities. You will need to have an NNEB or equivalent education, health, or social care qualification and have had recent successful experience working with early years children with SEND.
