Job Description About the job Our client has developed an exciting product portfolio and has established itself as the technology leader in providing real-time oil condition monitoring services to asset owners to improve and optimise their maintenance & reliability operations. To support their global customer base in the marine, power generation, industrial, and metal processing industries, we are looking for a suitable candidate to join our team in Edinburgh as a Process Engineer. You will work directly with the Applications Manager and Software Manager to manage the process control for all our global sensor installations, delivering fluid parametric data in real-time across various industrial settings. Main Responsibilities • Monitor and report on our global sensor installations. • Work with the Applications Manager to optimise sensor models based on SPC (Statistical Process Control). • Define sensor OCAPs in collaboration with the Applications Manager. • Work with the Software Manager to define automation levels for sensor installations. • Coordinate with our global customer base to gather operational information for optimizing sensor performance. • Conduct Statistical Process Control (SPC) studies on sensor applications. • Perform lab work with our products to optimize repeatability and reproducibility of results. • Apply chemometrics techniques to analyse complex data sets and improve sensor accuracy and reliability. Your profile • Experience in process engineering and statistical process control. • 3-5 years’ experience as a process engineer in an industrial environment, such as sensor manufacturing, semiconductors, or related industries. • Strong knowledge and practical experience with chemometrics for analysing and interpreting multivariate data. • Advantageous to have a good understanding of oil condition monitoring and Mid Infrared Spectroscopy. • Proficient in using SPC tools to improve process control. • Be passionate about growing the business and have a genuine interest in developing yourself.
