The way you roll…
As an Account Director, you’ll be the driving force behind client relationships, ensuring every interaction is built on trust, collaboration, and strategic insight. You’ll own the big picture – balancing commercial objectives with creative ambition, ensuring our work doesn’t just meet client expectations but exceeds them.
You’ll be responsible for growing accounts, tracking financial performance against targets, and making sure our teams deliver high-quality work that aligns with brand guidelines, contractual agreements, and business goals.
How you make it all possible…
Client & Relationship Management
1. Own responsibility for the client-agency relationship—whether that means celebrating successes, being the client advocate or being comfortable challenging the client or having the difficult conversations when needed.
2. Implement account strategies focused on growth and retention of existing relationships.
3. Seek out and negotiate long-term client contracts, ensuring agreements such as Master Service Agreements (MSAs) are in place.
4. Provide a flexible and adaptable approach to work, moulding to and influencing client ways of working.
5. Manage regular account meetings, providing key updates to stakeholders.
6. Immerse yourself in the client’s brand, gaining a deep understanding of their business strategy, goals, objectives, and potential pain points. Use this insight to proactively identify opportunities for growth and strengthen the consultative relationship.
7. Be able to clearly communicate the clients' requirements to the DRPG internal teams.
8. Proactively map stakeholder contacts, identifying opportunities for growth, referrals, and deeper engagement within client organizations.
9. Leverage networking opportunities and our expansive marketing activities to build relationships, stay top-of-mind with clients, and uncover new opportunities for collaboration and business growth.
Strategic & Creative Delivery
1. Interpret client briefs, understanding their objectives and ensuring we deliver against them.
2. Work alongside production teams, offering guidance and support to maintain high standards.
3. Ensure all output aligns with brand guidelines and client expectations.
4. Drive improvement through regular cross-company account meetings, ensuring we’re always optimising our approach.
5. Maintain a detailed awareness of market trends.
Financial & Compliance Oversight
1. Have a strong financial understanding, tracking the financial performance of your account against targets and driving success.
2. Be driven to exceed financial targets, ensuring accounts are thriving commercially.
3. Drive compliance in line with contracts and service agreements.
4. Identify, develop, and implement account specific training to support account delivery and team growth.
Growth & Business Development
1. Identify, develop, and convert new business opportunities within existing accounts.
2. Lead pitch teams and ensure our solutions align with client briefs.
3. Forecast work and keep accurate records of account activity, ensuring a proactive approach to planning.
4. Attend industry events, client gatherings, and agency-led initiatives, ensuring DRPG is always at the forefront of client conversations and market trends.

The role will be based primarily in Hartlebury, but there will be times when you’ll need to work from our other places and undertake other related commercial duties both in the UK and overseas. Flexibility is key!
