Job Title: Accounts AssistantSalary: £25,000 - £30,000Location: Grimsby CRA Financial is excited to be collaborating with a well-established business that is conveniently located within easy reach of Grimsby As part of this dynamic and welcoming team, you will play a vital role in supporting the accountant and contributing to the smooth operation of a busy, thriving company. This position offers flexibility, with the option to work either part-time over five days or full-time, depending on the candidate's preference. Key Responsibilities: Liaising with Engineers: You will be responsible for communicating with engineers to ensure that goods meet the necessary standards and are approved for payment. Compiling Purchase Orders: Regularly creating and managing purchase orders for frequently ordered parts to ensure the company's inventory remains stocked and operations continue smoothly. Invoice Processing: Entering purchase invoices, accurately coding them, and ensuring timely payment of invoices, maintaining good relationships with suppliers and ensuring financial accuracy. Delivery Notes Production: You will also be involved in generating delivery notes for jobs that are delivered, ensuring that all relevant information is documented and that the goods are correctly received. Sales Invoices & Customer Liaison: In addition to the above tasks, you'll be responsible for generating sales invoices and maintaining communication with customers to ensure prompt payments are made. This will require attention to detail and maintaining a positive customer experience. Payroll Assistance: Providing assistance in the preparation of payroll, ensuring employees are paid correctly and on time. The Ideal Candidate: The ideal candidate will already have some experience working within a finance function and will be familiar with handling both sales and purchase ledgers. This role provides an excellent opportunity to further develop and expand your skills in finance and accounting. While knowledge of QuickBooks would be advantageous, it is not essential as full training can be provided.Strong communication skills are a must, as you will be interacting with various stakeholders, including engineers, suppliers, and customers.
