Job summary The Emergency Care Directorate seeks an experienced Band 6 Service Support Manager to join our Operational Team. The post holder's primary role will be to support the day to day operational functions within the Emergency Care Directorate including oversight of the clinical rotas, data collection and the management of administrative and ancillary teams. Candidates will be well organised and able to manage and prioritise their workload successfully. Excellent communication skills are essential as well as the ability to cultivate and maintain good working relationships with service users, colleagues and senior managers. You will have significant experience of working as an administrator/manager be able to produce clear and accurate documents. Experience of supervising staff would be desirable. Main duties of the job The Service Support Manager role is responsible for providing operational management support for the Emergency Care Directorate and also provide support across the full range of responsibilities, identifying issues that require particular attention to avoid escalation. The post holder will handle highly confidential and sometimes very contentious and sensitive information of a personal, financial and political nature and will therefore be relied upon to observe and comply with specific and implied The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
