Academy Education Officer
Birmingham City Football Club are recruiting for an Academy Education Officer. You will play a pivotal role in tracking and supporting the academic progress of our registered Academy players in the U13-U16 Age groups, ensuring they achieve their individual academic flight paths.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the Head of Academy Education to maximise the academic performance of all Academy players.
* Engage in professional development events and a competency framework.
* Monitor the wellbeing of Academy players in collaboration with the Club Safeguarding Team.
* Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures, particularly concerning Equal Opportunities and Health & Safety.
* Assist Academy Education Tutors in delivering and assessing educational content.
* Build strong relationships with players, parents/carers, and partnership schools.
* Contribute to departmental reviews and KPIs.
* Maintain academic records for U9 to U16 players.
* Support inspections and ensure high standards in education.
* Promote Academy culture and values, fostering collaborative relationships with all stakeholders.
What are we looking for in you?
Essential Requirements:
* Educated to Degree Level
* PGCE, ECT, QTS, QTLS qualified or working towards
* Excellent computer literacy, particularly in Microsoft Office and Excel
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* Highly organized with attention to detail
Desirable Requirements:
* Valid Driving Licence
* FA Safeguarding qualification
Personal Requirements:
* Collaborative thinker and worker
* Adaptable and uses initiative effectively
* Builds positive relationships with stakeholders
