Job summary We have an exciting opportunity within Posture and Mobility Services for a full time, Apprentice Higher Clerical Officer to join our dedicated admin team based at Callaghan House. You will be supporting a team of professionals, clients and manager in enabling the provision of equipment for HMR and Bury residents. If you are enthusiastic and motivated we would like to hear from you. You will provide admin support for PMC including secretarial and reception duties within the department. You will register and maintain patients' clinical records on the Patient Records System and other IT systems and fulfil a central, co-ordinating function on behalf of the PMC Service. You will also work to agreed policies, protocols, guidelines and standards. Your performance will be monitored at agreed intervals. Main duties of the job The main roles will be to: Efficiently operate the photocopier/scanning machine, answer machine and e-mails; Undertake secretarial duties in the provision of clinicalcorrespondence and reports, including typing and preparation of reports using Microsoft Office and other IT software systems; Record outcomes on patient management systems e.g. attended, discharged, DNAs etc; Arrange suitable clinical appointments in accordance with patients' choice and send out confirmation letters to patients; Respond pro-actively to patients' telephone queries regarding appointments in a busy and demanding office environment; Ensure all patients' details are recorded and maintained accurately on the PMC Patient Management System; Complete reception duties; Input and complete basic triaging for referrals; Provide cover for colleagues on annual leave or sick leave ensuring the provision of a flexible, effective and efficient service is maintained; Co-ordinate the booking of interpreter services where required; Liaise with the service approved repairer and raise collections and repairs as required.
