We have an exciting opportunity for a Design Engineer to lead the management of project designs and design engineers within our Kent office.

Role & Responsibilities
1. Development of engineering project documentation such as single line diagrams, system operating philosophy, schematic diagrams, bills of materials and test schedules including but not limited to SAT, FAT, and FDS.
2. Responsibility for budget control, managing labour and material acquisition to ensure a successful project delivery to client.
3. Responsible for correct selection and procurement of all components.
4. To design, develop and commission machine control and safety systems.
5. Creation of electrical documentation including circuit diagrams, cable schedules, installation documents and bills of materials.
6. The commissioning of control systems, perform testing, carry out Factory Acceptance, and Site Acceptance testing.
7. Ensuring that the control systems are to budget and within timescales.
8. Writing & developing software, PLC & HMI coding for various automation projects.
9. Ensure delivery of ECS projects on time and in accordance with the technical requirements of the contract.
10. To be aware of the contractual requirements of all Projects, payment milestones and associated requirements, key dates, technical requirements for the scope of works, Health and Safety requirements.
For this role you will be required to have good management skills, an excellent understanding of system design, experience in instrumentation system designs, electrical installations and control panel design and installation from concept to completion as well as a good understanding of technical drawings and schematics.
You will need a full driving licence as travel around the Kent and London regions will be required.
