The Telecom Network Architect (IP Networks) will design, implement, and manage high-level network solutions that meet the organisations strategic needs.
The role requires IP network architecture, design, and security expertise, focusing on delivering robust, scalable, and secure network infrastructures. Due to the sensitive nature of the projects and data handled, the position requires SC (Security Check) clearance.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Network Design and Architecture:
Develop and design IP network solutions that align with the organisations goals and requirements.
Create detailed network design documentation, including diagrams and technical specifications.
Ensure network designs are scalable, maintainable, and meet industry standards.
2. Implementation and Integration:
Oversee the implementation and integration of network solutions, ensuring minimal disruption to existing services.
Collaborate with other IT teams and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration with other systems and applications.
3. Security and Compliance:
Ensure compliance with relevant security standards and regulations, particularly SC clearance.
Perform regular security assessments and audits to identify and address potential risks.
4. Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain comprehensive documentation of network designs, configurations, and changes.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders, updating network projects and performance metrics.
Key Skills/Knowledge/Experience:
Must Have Skills:
1. Extensive experience in designing and managing IP networks.
2. Proficiency in network design tools and technologies (e.g., Cisco, Juniper).
3. Strong understanding of network security principles and best practices.
4. SC (Security Check) clearance is mandatory.
5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
