About Us: Pulse, a leading healthcare recruitment agency, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Band 8A Advanced Care Practitioner to join the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) team in Hereford. This temporary position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the well-being of children and adolescents in the region.
Position Overview: As a Band 8A Advanced Care Practitioner, you will be a crucial member of the CAMHS team, providing advanced clinical expertise and leadership in the delivery of mental health services for children and adolescents. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care, ensuring the highest standards of service delivery. This role is for a 10 month duration – ongoing maternity cover with the start date being ASAP.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct comprehensive assessments of children and adolescents with mental health needs.
2. Develop and implement evidence-based care plans tailored to individual patient requirements.
3. Provide advanced therapeutic interventions, including cognitive-behavioural therapy, family therapy, and other modalities.
4. Offer consultation, guidance, and support to junior staff members within the CAMHS team.
5. Collaborate with external agencies, families, and carers to enhance the overall care provided.
6. Actively contribute to the development and implementation of service improvement initiatives.
7. Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records in compliance with relevant guidelines.
Requirements:
8. Valid registration with a relevant healthcare professional body (e.g., NMC, HCPC).
9. Extensive experience working within Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS).
10. Proven expertise in delivering advanced therapeutic interventions.
11. Strong leadership and communication skills.
12. Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
