Financial Controller - Blackburn (Onsite) - Permanent - Up to £80,000 + Bonus
IN2 Consult have an exciting opportunity for a Financial Controller to join a fantastic company based in Blackburn on a permanent basis. Please note, this role is office based 5 days per week.

The Role
As Financial Controller, you will take ownership of financial reporting, control frameworks, and strategic decision-making to drive business performance. Partnering closely with senior leadership, you will ensure robust financial governance while providing insightful analysis to support commercial decision-making. This is a hands-on role suited to a proactive finance leader who thrives in a complex, fast-moving environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the financial control function, ensuring best-in-class reporting, compliance, and governance.
* Oversee the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to IFRS/UK GAAP.
* Manage and develop a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
* Provide strategic financial insights to support business growth, cost efficiency, and profitability.
* Ensure robust internal controls and risk management frameworks are in place.
* Lead on financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting, working closely with senior stakeholders.
* Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency and reporting capabilities.
* Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies to ensure full compliance.
* Business partner with key operational teams, providing financial expertise to aid strategic decision-making.
About You
* Fully qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with at least 7 years post-qualification experience in a senior finance role.
* Experience in a large, complex, and fast-paced organisation, ideally within a global business.
* Strong technical accounting expertise, with knowledge of IFRS and local GAAP.
* Proven leadership experience, with the ability to inspire and develop a finance team.
* Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and challenge at senior levels.
* Commercially focused mindset, with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
* Hands-on approach with a proactive and adaptable attitude.
* Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and strong Excel skills.
