Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Operations Manager to oversee and enhance our operational processes. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficiency of our operations while maintaining high-quality standards. This position requires strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to foster a collaborative work environment.
Responsibilities
1. Develop and implement operational strategies to improve productivity and efficiency across all departments.
2. Monitor daily operations and ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
3. Lead, mentor, and manage a team of staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
4. Analyse performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as necessary.
5. Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination of activities.
6. Manage budgets, forecasts, and resource allocation to optimise operational performance.
7. Prepare reports for senior management detailing operational performance, challenges, and opportunities for growth.
8. Ensure that health and safety standards are maintained throughout the organisation.
9. Assist with the monitoring and maintenance of our accreditations - BSI ISO9001, NHSS18, Arb Approved Contractor, etc.
10. Liaise with clients to ensure their expectations are met.
11. Plan and organise works for the various teams.
12. Drive Quality Assurance within the company.
Qualifications
1. Proven experience as an Operations Manager or in a similar role within the Arboricultural and Forestry Sectors.
2. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams.
3. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
4. Proficient in using operational management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
5. Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
6. A Level 3 or above Qualification within the Arb/Forestry Industry.
