Salary: Starting From £12.37p/h (dependant on qualification/s and experience)

We are looking for a 20 hour Early Years Practitioner - Lunch Cover to join our Bright Horizons St. Mary’s Day Nursery and Preschool, situated close to the centre of Abingdon, with great transport links.
The stunning 114-place setting features well-resourced rooms with free flow access to their amazing garden area, and also benefits from a forest school area, perfect for lots of outdoor teaching and learning! The nursery is Ofsted rated 'Good'.

What you’ll be doing
7. Support Nursery colleagues with their delivery of the EYFS, by engaging children in entertaining and educational play and activities, encouraging their development towards key milestones, and ensuring their safety throughout the day
8. Work as part of a larger team, to ensure all essential day-to-day tasks are completed in line with nursery demands i.e. hygiene standards and room preparation
9. Promote and ensure child welfare, protection, health and safety and safeguarding
10. Work with colleagues to maintain a positive, happy and safe environment
What we’re looking for
11. Previous experience working with children ideal but not essential – such as Nursery Bank Staff, Nursery Assistant, Teaching Assistant, Nanny, Childminder or similar
12. Passion for making learning fun and engaging for each child
13. Ability to use a variety of communication techniques with both children and adults
14. Sound understanding of child protection and the safeguarding of children
15. Ability to be flexible and adaptable
