Key duties:
* Managing and developing a book of commercial business;
* Working with introducers generating and nurturing thriving new business pipelines;
* Ensuring timely renewals and healthy renewal/retention ratios;
* Proactively exploiting cross-selling opportunities.
Required experience:
* Extensive commercial products experience and knowledge, in an executive or senior account handler role, with a minimum of 2 years' experience;
* Experience in the hospitality or construction and liability spaces is preferred;
* Acturis broking systems experience is highly desirable.
Crucial qualities:
* An innate relationship builder, developing and maintaining strong, effective relationships with clients, insurers, underwriters and colleagues;
* Excellent relationships with introducers, providing a steady stream of new business-qualified leads;
* Strong commercial account executive experience, delivering outstanding client service;
* Driven by meeting and exceeding clients' needs;
* A proven sales track record, with measurable growth in the current position;
* A full driving licence, with access to a car for business use.
Personal skills:
* A confident and accomplished communicator, by phone and face-to-face;
* Highly organised, with great time management and admin skills;
* Accuracy and attention to detail, with autonomy and responsibility;
* Expert at organising workload and managing diary.
Required qualifications:
* Cert CII qualified, working towards it, or motivated to do so;
* Diploma in Insurance is useful but not essential.
