This fantastic employer are seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their busy finance team in Shrewsbury
The Role Reporting to the Accounts Manager, supporting the Accounts Department in the financial operations of the business.
The successful candidate will:
* Maintain sales and purchase ledgers
* Maintain rent and other client ledgers
* Reconcile accounts and prepare bank reconciliations
* Assist with the budgeting and forecasting process
* Process invoices and payments using the SAP accounting system
* Prepare cash and cheques for banking
* Deal with accounts queries from colleagues’ clients and suppliers
* Support the preparation of payroll
* Provide information for the ONS
* General administrative duties within the accounts department

1. Financial Knowledge - Understanding of financial principles, credit control and accounting practices, ideally AAT qualified.
