Job Description
The company requires a Manufacturing Engineer to oversee the smooth operation of their manufacturing process. This role involves developing and implementing new processes or improving existing ones, ensuring high product quality while maintaining cost-efficiency and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
* Analyse and improve manufacturing processes to enhance quality, efficiency, and throughput.
* Organise and manage production workflows, integrating systems to meet performance and budget targets.
* Oversee tooling management and ensure accurate, up-to-date manufacturing documentation.
* Resolve production issues by collaborating with engineers, suppliers, and staff to maintain smooth operations.
* Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations through risk assessments and internal audits.
The Ideal Candidate:
* A minimum 5 years' experience as a manufacturing engineer is required.
* Ideal candidates will have worked within the Aerospace sector or similar regulated industries such as Automotive, Marine, Medical, Defence, etc.
* Proficiency in reading engineering drawings and using MRP/ERP systems is essential.
* Familiarity with electromechanical assembly and skills in problem-solving, data analysis, and process improvement are also necessary.
* Experience with CI/Learn tools such as Six Sigma, 8D, Fishbone, PFMEA, 5why, DMAIC is preferred.
* Expertise in Microsoft Word, Excel, and AutoCAD is advantageous.

This role comes with a competitive salary package of up to £52,000 per annum plus benefits.
