BMW UK, Financial Services, Farnborough – Customer, Strategy, Change and Innovation– 13 Month Placement (July 2025)
The Customer, Strategy, Change and Innovation team is responsible for the development of strategy for Alphabet UK and BMW Group Financial Services, together with managing the implementation of this strategy. In this varied and interesting student placement, you’ll be responsible for supporting the ongoing development, communication and implementation monitoring of business strategy. Furthermore, you’ll also play an integral part in the cultural development of our organisation in support of the strategy including focus on customer orientation and sustainability. As a highly motivated, confident, self-starter with strong analytical skills, you’ll also excel in delivering creative and effective communication, employee engagement and change management within the organisation.
What awaits you?
* Support the Head of Customer, Strategy, Change and Innovation in steering the business strategy development process, involving working with the management committee and various functions across the business.
* Support the tracking and reporting of progress against transformation targets and status of key strategic initiatives.
* Ensure full consideration and alignment with other UK group companies and BMW Group.
* Support the reporting of customer insights and intelligence to inform strategic priorities.
* Support all aspects of our customer-driven organisation, including administration of our customer committee.
* Support the development, communication and monitoring of Sustainability strategy and initiatives, ensuring alignment with developing regulatory requirements.
* Support continued alignment with other BMW Group entities, including virtual attendance at BMW Group global meetings.
* Support the Internal Communications Manager with communication and engagement activities.
* Support the Change and Innovation Manager with facilitation and workshops to drive leadership and strategic change.
Qualifications & Experience:
* Studying for an undergraduate degree in Business Management or similar and in line to achieve a 2:2 or above.
* Basic customer service experience (i.e. experience in retail/call centre).
* Microsoft Office (incl. PowerPoint) advantageous.
* Quick to pick up IT applications (online tools, project management tools, survey monkey etc.).
* Good written and verbal communication skills.
* Able to show an interest in sustainability and sustainable practices.
