The Place
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Hotel Operations Manager to join our client in the heart of Glasgow. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead and inspire a dedicated team in a high-profile, multi-functional operation. You will be at the forefront of ensuring that our guests experience the highest levels of service and satisfaction, while also driving business performance.
The Job
As the Hotel Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the smooth day-to-day running of all areas within the hotel. This role involves close collaboration with the General Manager and overseeing the Heads of Departments to ensure that targets for revenue and guest satisfaction are not only met but exceeded. Your duties will include:
* Leading and managing all operational departments, including front desk, housekeeping, and food and beverage services.
* Working closely with the General Manager to implement strategic goals and budgets.
* Ensuring that all service standards are met and exceeded, driving guest satisfaction and repeat business.
* Overseeing cost control measures and analysing results to identify areas for improvement.
* Recruiting, training, and developing a high-performing team, ensuring effective succession planning.
* Responding promptly and professionally to guest feedback to maintain the hotel's reputation for excellence.
* Providing effective leadership to the hotel management team, fostering a culture of excellence.
* Planning, directing, and coordinating service delivery across all operational departments.
* Ensuring compliance with hotel, brand, and company service standards.
The Person we are after
* Proven experience in a senior management role within a branded hotel, ideally at the Deputy General Manager or Operations Manager level.
* A passion for hospitality, with the ambition to progress to General Manager in the future.
* Strong leadership skills, capable of motivating and developing a diverse team.
* A resilient and proactive attitude, able to thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
* Excellent financial acumen, with experience in managing budgets and forecasting.
* Exceptional organisational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
