Job Description:
NQA Sustainability Assurance Manager
NQA helps SMEs, large enterprises and non-profit organizations to perform better in Quality, Aerospace, Environment & Energy, Information Security and Health & Safety management. We make sure these improvements continue year in, year out. Our clients never stop improving. We do this by providing accredited certification, training and technical support for management systems. We've been working in partnership with our clients for over 30 years to help them achieve their aims.
NQA is part of Kiwa Group and is one of the world's leading third party certification and verification bodies providing product and management systems certification and verification in over 28 countries.
Role Outline & Dimensions
This is a practical hands-on position, ideal for a candidate looking to work for a growing and dynamic global business. To provide overall management of NQA’s sustainability portfolio from client management, sectoral engagement, and product management dimensions.
The role will require a wide variety of skills and experience including product management, stakeholder engagement, technical, administration, and excellent customer service skills to support and develop the client base. The role requires a multi-disciplined approach. While this role does not expect a high level of technical experience, the ability to learn quickly and translate complex requirements into simple solutions is a necessity.
The primary objective of the role is to support the organization in developing, bringing to market, and growing industry-leading sustainability services. The role will also provide hands-on client support and is expected to develop suitable internal resources as the business grows to take over day-to-day client responsibilities. It is anticipated that the dimensions of the role will evolve over time in alignment with NQA’s developing strategy in the field of sustainability.
The sustainability market is growing and changing rapidly; the role holder will need to proactively engage within the sector to keep up to date.
Reporting – The post holder will report to the Carbon & Sustainability Services Director who will support with role direction and priorities.
Line Management – The post-holder will not have any lines of management.
Budget – The post-holder does not have budgetary responsibilities but is responsible for ensuring delivery of revenue, operating costs, and profitability.
Location – The post is primarily office-based with the requirement to travel to clients or stakeholder premises and other locations as required.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Day-to-Day
Research – To work to understand market needs and trends in order to ensure NQA develops appropriate products and services within the sustainability sector. Undertaking own research and through engagement with internal and external stakeholders.
* Commercial Development & Engagement – To work closely with the commercial team to identify, engage with, and provide product knowledge in order to grow the client base and secure clients. To support in the development of marketing plans, strategy, and materials.
Client Management – To support new clients through their service experience with NQA, ensuring that new clients receive a high level of intimacy and NQA learns lessons from early service delivery experiences. NQA anticipates that this role will backfill the higher volume/lower complexity client management with a Client Executive or equivalent when sufficient scheme size is achieved.
Project Support and Management – To lead on and support with project-related actions related to sustainability.
* Skills Development – To undertake appropriate training to ensure technical adequacy and to continue with appropriate training to address emerging sustainability topics.
Regulatory Compliance – To support with the development of documentation, processes, procedures, and training. To support with regulatory approvals (initial and maintenance) as required.
* General Support – To support the Carbon & Sustainability Services Director with day-to-day activities as required.
