The main function of the job is to provide electrical maintenance throughout the company, whilst ensuring health & safety procedures are followed: Main Duties Ensuring compliance with electrical codes, safety standards, and policies. Conducting regular preventive maintenance to minimise downtime and avoid electrical issues. Diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical problems to determine the best solutions. Collaborating with contractors on larger projects and repairs. Responding to emergency maintenance requests and resolving electrical issues promptly. Ensuring electrical maintenance work is carried out by approved methods and to required quality standards Assist in the installation and commission of new plant equipment and carry out periodic checks Carry out maintenance on building electrical circuits Ensure all electrical equipment is PAT tested within date Safely working on cherry-pickers, scaffolding and other platforms in compliance with Working at Height Regulations (WAHR) Ensure compliance with the safe use and disposal of electrical components under the WEEE regulations Ensure all equipment is adequately maintained and fault checked on a regular basis Take appropriate care of electrical test equipment, jigs, fixtures, tooling during day-to-day maintenance operations Observe and comply with health, safety and security requirements at all times Able to travel occasionally to customer sites to carry out maintenance when needed Be willing to learn new duties outside the normal function i.e. BS7671, 17th/18th Edition, or City & Guilds 2381 You must be a qualifiied electrician with a valid driving licence and have strong-problem solving skills with excellent attention to detail. It is essential you have a sound knowledge of tools, equipment & materials common to the electrical trade, and have experience in electrical repair, maintenance, servicing & installations within an engineering/manufacturing environment
