Responsibilities:
1. Develop an understanding of the specific mechanical engineering requirements per project
2. Study and become familiar with the elementary system drawings
3. Conveyor manifests
4. Engineering hours estimate
5. Project contract requirements and options
6. Provide technical interface with customer’s project representative(s)
7. Project scope definitions
8. Contract change orders
9. Customer specifications / standards.
10. 3D model reviews
11. Develop and maintain a mechanical engineering schedule that provides timely delivery of material to fully support an installation schedule.
12. Firm grasp of project contract documents including clarifications and exceptions. Execute the project within the budget and hours in the contract estimate.
13. Provide technical support for vendors, field installation personnel, and engineering subcontractors as related to inquiries
14. Support weekly meetings with project team members and customers
15. Delegate and monitor tasks given to engineering team members on regular cadence
16. Maintain project-specific requirements while applying general knowledge of conveying systems, conveying equipment and customer general specifications and standards
17. Interpret and ensure compliance with customer specifications.
18. Communicate project specific information with other departments
19. Release drawings for installation and fabrication
20. Create material purchase requests
21. Relate information regarding changes to scope of work for the project as they occur.
22. Communicate status updates to engineering management on a regular cadence
23. Be cognoscente of areas for professional development, cost reduction, quality improvements and enhanced customer service.
24. Check drawings provided by mechanical designers for accuracy and provide feedback for corrections as needed.
25. Perform or assist in directing engineering analysis as determined by project needs

33. Experience with Microsoft Office, such as Outlook and Excel are required
34. Familiar with AutoCAD and Inventor, Navisworks, and BIM is a plus
35. Experience with Microsoft Project is a plus
Education and Experience:
36. Three to Five years of material handling equipment experience preferably within the conveyor systems industry
37. Experience with executing and support medium to large projects
38. Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience in mechanical engineering and design
Travel Requirements:
Some international travel required +/- 15%. Depends on project needs and urgency
