Financial Services - PEGA modernisation project
Our financial services client is offering a contract initially to the end of 2025. We are looking for a Technical Project Manager with solid experience working on migration projects and preferably experience on PEGA modernisation projects, as our client is undergoing a Pega Modernisation Programme - apps migration to Pega Cloud. Candidates who have experience in the financial sector are well suited to this type of project.
Duties
* Lead and Manage Projects: Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of innovative technology projects from inception to completion.
* Strategic Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
* Technical Project Management: Work with various tech teams to arrive at and track the plans, collaborating with technical stakeholders like security and external partners.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, operations, and business units, to ensure project alignment with strategic goals.
* Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks to ensure successful project delivery.
* Budget Oversight: Manage project budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and alignment with financial objectives.
* Quality Assurance: Ensure all project deliverables meet high-quality standards and comply with regulatory requirements.
* Project Reporting: Provide regular project status updates to senior management and stakeholders, highlighting progress, challenges, and achievements.
Skills
* Project Management Expertise: Proven experience in managing technology projects within the banking or financial services sector.
* Leadership and Team Management: Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage cross-functional teams.
* Excellent Communication: Superior verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
* Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically and align project objectives with broader business goals.
* Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to addressing challenges.
* Risk Management: Demonstrated experience in identifying and managing project risks.
* Financial Acumen: Experience in budget management and financial planning.
* Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
* Customer-Centric Approach: A focus on delivering exceptional customer experiences through innovative technology solutions.
* Change Management: Experience in leading change management initiatives within a technology context.
