The Inclusive Learning Department at our Easton campus are looking for a new Pastoral Coach.

This is a permanent role and is contracted for 38 wks of the year
Main Tasks and Responsibilities
- To monitor students' attendance, punctuality and academic progress using college databases and information from subject tutors and PALs.
- To conduct individual tutorials to help students to reflect on their progress, to set and review SMART targets and draw up an action plan.
- To record individual tutorials on the electronic ILP.
- To maintain accurate records and prepare regular reports including progress reports for parents and employers.
- To liaise closely with the course teams to ensure that tutorials are fully integrated into course delivery and review.
- To assist students to improve their own learning and performance by developing their study skills.
- To listen and support students who may have difficulties, referring to other staff and agencies when necessary.
- To offer impartial guidance on future plans and to refer students for careers advice where more specialist knowledge is needed.
- To actively encourage students to take part in extra-curricular enrichment activities.
As a College we are required to undertake various Safer Recruitment checks as set out within the guidance from the Department for Education Keeping Child Safe in Education. We require all staff to undertake an enhanced Adult and Child Workforce DBS Check and to register with the DBS Update Service. Please note: From 28 November 2020 the government implemented changes to the filtering rules, and we have been instructed that we cannot accept any update service checks on DBS certificates that have been issued before this date. Therefore, a new one must be completed with City College Norwich.
