MULTI SKILLED MAINTENANCE ENGINEER MONDAY - FRIDAY: DAYS £35,000 - £45,000 PER ANNUM People Solutions are actively seeking a dedicated Maintenance Electrician or Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our client's on-site team. This role plays a critical part in ensuring that their manufacturing processes and installations run smoothly and efficiently. Benefits • Competitive salary with potential for growth • Comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and retirement plans • Opportunities for career advancement within a well-established company • Access to ongoing training programs to support your professional development • A supportive and collaborative team environment Day to Day Duties • Conduct scheduled and reactive maintenance on electrical systems within the manufacturing environment. • Diagnose and repair electrical faults, ensuring systems operate safely and at peak efficiency. • Support and participate in new electrical installations, following all relevant standards and safety requirements. • Perform preventive maintenance tasks to enhance the longevity and performance of equipment. • Interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints to assist in troubleshooting and repairs. • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient communication and effective issue resolution. • Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to all safety protocols and regulations • Perform maintenance and repairs on mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems as needed. • Use combined electrical and mechanical skills to troubleshoot complex issues across various equipment. Essential Skills • Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Maintenance Electrician/Engineer within the steel industry. • Qualification in electrical installations and practices (17th/18th Edition certification required). • Knowledge of inspection and testing procedures (desirable). • Demonstrated experience with preventive maintenance practices. • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals and schematics. • Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills. • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team. • Knowledge of safety regulations and practices. Desirable Experience • Experience in mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic maintenance and repairs. • Additional certifications in inspection and testing procedures. • Willingness to participate in cross-functional training to develop both electrical and mechanical expertise.
