As a Project Manager in our Aviation Services Group, you will:
* Work directly with Airport Managers and Directors and their staff on airport improvement projects all over the East Coast.
* Manage aviation transportation improvements on and off airports, airspace modeling, and effect positive changes in our environment and communities.
* Collaborate with a highly experienced team of airport planners, environmental scientists, and construction experts.
* Travel to airports for project collaboration while performing design and management tasks from any of our six offices or remotely.
* Be invested in your career and active in the aviation industry, becoming an inspired leader in key professional organizations.
* Manage resources to complete projects in accordance with the contract, scope of services, budget, and schedule.
* Train and mentor project engineers and junior staff.
* Work within an established quality control program and access our project manager manual and recurring project management training.
In this role you will also be expected to:
* Achieve excellent financial performance for Hoyle Tanner.
* Provide superior client service by responding to needs and understanding concerns.
* Lead a qualified project team to successfully complete projects on time and within budget.
* Foster team satisfaction in completing project tasks and collaborating with subconsultants and other disciplines.
* Resolve team personnel conflicts in conjunction with supervisors.
* Lead efforts in pursuit of potential projects and the development of technical and price proposals.
* Monitor and manage resources to complete projects efficiently using Deltek and other management tools.
* Promptly invoice for services rendered and advocate for outstanding accounts receivable.
* Ensure a quality management plan is developed with defined roles.
* Keep Principal-in-charge informed of potential claims or contract risks and collaborate on resolution strategies.
* May supervise a small number of staff and assist in career development, training, and managing work assignments.
The successful candidate will have experience with plan production, specification writing, engineering analysis, client collaboration, project financial tracking, and task management in a project manager role or management in a project engineer role that has progressed to project management. Strong oral and written communication skills are essential for success in this position.
Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
* BSCE
* PE in MA, NH, ME, FL, RI, or CT, or the ability to obtain reciprocity
* 10+ years of increasing technical or planning and leadership experience, including 4-6 years in another Civil Engineering Discipline and 4-6 years of airport design experience
* Demonstrated strong communication skills, project finances understanding, scheduling, and client management skills
* PM Training
Qualifications:
* MS in Civil Engineering, Management, or Equivalent
* Additional PE License(s) or NCEES record
* List of Professional Aviation Industry Presentations or contributions to Periodicals, Construction Management, or Project Management Professional Certifications
