Job Description Applications Engineer / Internal Sales Engineer / Project Engineer required to join a market-leading hydraulics distributor. The successful Applications Engineer / Internal Sales Engineer / Project Engineer will be office-based near Torquay. You will review hydraulic specifications, prepare quotations, provide technical support, and build, and maintain a strong pipeline of project opportunities for various hydraulic products and solutions, predominantly cylinders, hydraulic motors, hydraulic presses, actuators, and industrial power packs via contractors and consultants. The successful Applications Engineer / Technical Sales Engineer / Project Engineer will ideally have technical applications, specifications, sales, or design experience within the hydraulics industry. Experience with hydraulic cylinders, hydraulic motors, hydraulic presses, actuators, industrial power packs, or similar hydraulic and mechanical products is advantageous. Full product training will be provided. Collaborate with hydraulic suppliers using technical tools to deliver competitive solutions. Provide technical support to hydraulic customers and the sales team while identifying new business opportunities. Understanding consultant specifications, completing selections and quotations based on those specifications, and speaking directly with clients, including commercial discussions. Promote hydraulic solutions to contractors and consultants. Liaise with engineering departments and support pipeline projects. Office-based near Torquay with occasional travel. Applications Engineer / Technical Sales Engineer / Project Engineer Requirements Experience as an Applications Engineer, Internal Sales Engineer / Project Engineer, Design Engineer, or Pre-Sales Engineer within the hydraulics industry. Technical applications, specifications, sales, or design experience within the hydraulics industry. Background in hydraulic cylinders, hydraulic motors, hydraulic presses, actuators, or industrial power packs. A degree in mechanical, hydraulics, or building services engineering is advantageous. Commutable to the office near Torquay.
