Key Skills
* Apprentice Trained Engineer in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
* Knowledge of PLC Systems & Automated Machinery
* Managerial/Supervisory Experience within Manufacturing
The Role
You will have served a minimum of a full apprenticeship in engineering and have experience working within planned and preventative maintenance schedules, working with equipment such as packaging, filling, conveyors, and processing machinery within a high-speed automated environment. You will work closely with production, operations, and technical teams to improve standards and manufacturing efficiencies. You will be responsible for the training and development of the engineering team and demonstrate knowledge of continuous improvement, PPM systems, reactive maintenance, and budgetary control. Additionally, you will ideally have knowledge and experience of GMP and HACCP standards, managing a team of multi-skilled engineers to ensure the smooth running of all aspects of this high-speed manufacturing plant.
The ideal candidate will also have experience in an automated production facility and the ability to work within and manage a team or autonomously as required. You will report to the Site General Manager, which will lead to a fantastic opportunity to progress your career to senior management within this secure organisation.
