The job itself
The Pastures Day Service in Goole supports adults with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, autism, older persons, and those with additional needs.
We are currently seeking dynamic, positive individuals to join our team at The Pastures, a multi-purpose day service based in Goole. We have a number of hours available, so we welcome applicants looking for part-time hours up to 35 hours per week. The position is for 12 months.
Are you innovative with the passion to make a difference in the lives of those you support? Do you thrive on a challenge where no two days are the same? Are you an inspiring and creative person with experience of working in a caring/social work environment? Do you possess good communication skills? Do you have the skills to problem solve?
If you can answer yes and you have a fun, motivated, positive, and energetic personality, then this is the job for you.
We support individuals to access their local community and engage in meaningful activities which promote independence and have a positive impact on their health and wellbeing.
A day in the life of a Support Worker within The Pastures Day Services includes planning, overseeing, and supporting group activities, liaising with family, carers, and professionals, completing administration work including session notes, and using technology for training, accessing Microsoft Teams, and sending emails.
As a Support Worker, you will be required to support vulnerable adults within our service. You will need to be willing to work towards an NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Health and Social Care. As your employer, the Council will provide you with all the relevant training, and you may be expected to complete a Care Certificate.
