1:1 Learning Support Assistant – Primary School (SEN Focus)
A dedicated primary school is seeking a 1:1 Learning Support Assistant to join their supportive team, providing personalized assistance to students with a range of special educational needs (SEN). This role is an excellent opportunity for individuals with prior experience working with children who are committed to fostering a nurturing and inclusive learning environment. Initially, the position will be through Teaching Personnel, with the opportunity to transition to a permanent contract with the school following a successful probationary period.

Responsibilities:
Provide targeted 1:1 support to pupils with special educational needs, assisting with academic tasks and helping to adapt learning materials as needed
Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment that enables the child to develop confidence, independence, and key social skills
Collaborate closely with class teachers, SEN staff, and other support personnel to ensure the pupil's individual needs are met
Support the overall classroom environment, helping to create a safe and productive space for all students
What We Are Looking For:
Prior experience working with children, ideally in an educational, childcare, or care setting
Familiarity with SEN support, including strategies to assist pupils with mild to complex needs, is highly beneficial
Strong communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with pupils, staff, and parents
A calm, patient approach, combined with a genuine passion for helping children succeed
