We are currently looking for a full time Credit Controller to join our Credit Services team. This is a hybrid role where you will work from home and also in our Head office in Glasgow. If you have excellent customer service and are a team player, then we want to hear from you!
For training purposes, the role will be office-based until the probationary period has been completed, and then hybrid working will be granted.
What you’ll do:
As the Credit Controller, you will manage the collection of any outstanding debt to the business and minimise any risk of bad debt. You will liaise with customers internally and externally in resolution of debt and invoice disputes, and review credit limits in line with both spend and risk. As the Credit Controller, you will be part of a bigger team and have the help and support of others.
You’ll be responsible for:
* Assessing all requests to review credit limits up to a certain amount.
* Pre-chasing debt to ensure it is ready for payment when it falls due.
* Assisting the collection of overdue debt in accordance with payment terms.
* Ensuring that accounts are actioned according to collection events.
* Monitoring and ensuring accounts are placed on stop if they remain unpaid.
* Working closely with Branch and Sales teams to grow profit.

You will be given full training to become a fully-fledged Credit Controller, so don’t worry if you don’t have any experience; we will help you with that!
You will also have the opportunity to train towards CICM or start an apprenticeship to help with your learning and development.
