Position
We’re looking for an experienced Marketing specialist to join our team and manage our communications function. Joining a growing marketing team in an exciting business, your remit will be to take control of delivering a full communications calendar of stories across our social, web, email and press channels.
Requirements
Key areas of responsibility include:
1. Generating thought leadership blog posts, positioning the business as experts in various markets and industries.
2. Telling customer stories around the diverse range of events, projects and installations that we deliver to clients across the globe each year.
3. Writing press releases and then managing internal and external stakeholders through to sign-off and then publication.
4. Building ADI’s presence within press and online communities, including building and nurturing relationships with editors.
5. Increasing our reach, relationships and engagement through social channels, with a focus on LinkedIn.
6. Ensuring published content is promoted effectively through social, web, email, and print channels.
7. Collation and creation of company news for internal communication.
8. Liaising with internal colleagues to understand and assess upcoming newsworthy stories.
9. Keeping abreast of the latest trends and activities across markets, clients and competitors, and proactively looking for comms and PR opportunities.
The ideal candidate will have a journalistic or copy-writing background combined with the marketing nous to understand creating benefit-driven content and measuring its success. You’ll be adept at grasping different market needs and pain points and creating content for varying industries and audiences.
An interest in technology and sport would be a significant advantage given the industries we operate in.
Other information
The salary banding for this role is £32,000 - £37,000 depending on experience.
This is a team effort. Whilst you will have the responsibilities listed above, you will benefit from the support of a full Marketing team, including Graphic Design, Video Creation and Marketing Assistant, to assist in planning and management of different communication channels. As such, you will need to be a team player, happy working within a collaborative environment and with excellent communication skills.
ADI is a fast-paced environment, with lots going on across different parts of the business. With this in mind, the internal relationships you build will be essential to your success in the role. Whilst broader strategy will be set collaboratively, you will then be expected to liaise cross-departmentally to gather information and create content. Experience of working with a CRM (ideally Hubspot) would be beneficial, but not essential to this role.
This role will require you to be in the office most (circa 80%) of the time, so you will need to be able to travel to our Fulwood (Preston) HQ for each working day.
All candidates will be expected to provide a portfolio of published work at the first stage of the application process (this could include press releases, blogs, thought leadership articles, website copy, sales collateral).
