Mechanical Site Manager – Data Centre – What’s expected?
This project is based in Gloucester, involving the restructure and expansion of an existing data hall in a live environment. You will work on-site full-time with a team of project managers, site managers, and a QS to deliver this 52-week programme (from site start).
The scope includes:
1. Creating a new white space
2. Replacing existing generators with new ones
3. New Electrical LV infrastructure (Switchboards and distribution)
4. New HV Tx and diversion of existing HV supply
5. Civil works: ground clearance of trees and shrubs for new mechanical equipment (Chillers), groundwork for new bases, etc.
6. Internal fit-out: steel frame for internal rooms, modifications to the existing building, installing louvres, etc., raised access floor installation, mezzanine floor installation
7. M&E: mechanical cooling, AC, fire protection, BMS, containment, PDUs, cabling, comms, fire systems, etc.
Project value is £12M+.
As the Mechanical Site Manager, you will be expected to:
1. Take full financial and delivery responsibility.
2. Carry out financial forecasting and reporting of cost, sales, gross profit, and risk.
3. Manage direct and indirect resources, supply chain, plant, materials, and logistics.
4. Ensure that records, data, and systems are maintained up-to-date and in accordance with standards, policies, and procedures.
Mechanical Site Manager – Data Centre – What’s needed?
While data centre experience is not necessary for an interview, the following specifics are required:
1. Critical Infrastructure experience (Critical plant / Pharmaceutical / Hospitals)
2. HNC, HND, or Degree in Civil Engineering
3. SMSTS
4. Black CSCS
5. First Aid
6. Full Driving Licence

You will receive a salary of £55,000 - £60,000 along with a package that includes:
1. £5,000 Car Allowance
