Main duties of the job Specialist Biomedical Scientist We are looking to appoint a highly motivated and enthusiastic Biomedical Scientist registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), to join the London NHS Bowel Cancer Screening Programme Hub at London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust. The NHS Bowel Cancer Screening Programme, London Programme Hub, serves a population of over 9 million within London Clinical Commissioning Group and coordinates the activities of up to 8 Screening Centres, for Faecal Immunochemical Testing (FIT). We are a fully accredited Laboratory (UKAS ISO 15189:2012) and a department that comprises four modalities: Laboratory, National Call Centre, Administration, and Print Room. The ideal candidate will have a BSc in Biomedical Science or equivalent, be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council as a Biomedical Scientist and have completed the IBMS Specialist Portfolio (Clinical Chemistry) or have equivalent years of experience. Evidence of continual professional development (CPD) will be expected to be demonstrated at interview.
