Technical Field Sales Representative – UK
Environmental Protection / Water Treatment / Rail Infrastructure
Ideally based in North or West Yorkshire
£30K+ (Negotiable) + Commission + Car Allowance + Expenses
Full-time | Hybrid (WFH + Nationwide Travel + Occasional Office/Workshop Time)

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a small, agile team providing innovative water treatment and environmental protection technologies across a wide range of sectors — including rail, oil & gas, power generation, chemicals, steelworks, and more.
The business has seen strong growth in recent years, particularly in the rail depot sector, delivering bespoke environmental containment systems to protect infrastructure and the environment.
What You’ll Be Doing:

Field-based technical sales role, covering the whole of the UK
*
Representing a range of environmental containment and water treatment solutions
*
Initial focus on the rail sector, promoting a high-growth product line used in:
*
Train fuelling and maintenance depots
*
Wash bays and chemical handling areas
*
Targeting construction companies, rail franchises, Network Rail, and design consultants
*
Managing projects from lead to close, working closely with the operations team
*
Spending time in the North Yorkshire workshop and office near Harrogate to collaborate face-to-face with the wider team
*
Working alongside the current lead salesperson (also the business owner) with a view to sharing and eventually leading client development efforts
What We’re Looking For:

Proven experience in a field-based technical sales or sales engineer role
*
Confident engaging with technical clients across different industries
*
Comfortable with UK-wide travel and overnight stays
*
Based in West or North Yorkshire to support team interaction
*
Proactive, solutions-focused, and capable of managing your own diary and pipeline
*
Experience in environmental, infrastructure, or industrial engineering sectors would be an advantage – but not essential
