As part of their continued growth, a Civil Engineering Contractor with a turnover of close to £500M is seeking to appoint two Assistant Quantity Surveyors to work out of their office in East Anglia.
The role will suit an ambitious career-driven Assistant QS seeking the opportunity to develop a long-term career with an established business that will expand significantly over the next 10 years, bringing with it huge opportunity for career progression.
This is a hybrid working role with three days per week expected in the office and two days working from home.
The Role
* Working on a utility framework and reporting to the Senior QS, you will assist with managing a number of schemes at any one time with a combined value of £10M. Projects are civil engineering schemes in the water sector such as gravity-fed sewers and pumping stations. This opportunity offers a varied QS role working for a well-established contractor with healthy order books for the next five years.
* Duties will include:
o Subcontract management
o Cost reporting and cost reconciliations
o Generating and reporting weekly revenue and cost reports
o Controlling submissions of daily completed jobs
o Supporting the authorisation and submission of project variations
o Liaising with Operations & Planning to monitor job progress and scope changes
o Assisting management with the subcontractor supply chain
Experience Required
* To be considered, you will be educated to HNC/BSc in Quantity Surveying and be able to demonstrate experience working on civil engineering, utility, or ideally power projects in the UK.
* An excellent understanding of NEC contracts is essential.
