Reporting to and working closely with the Chief Executive Officer, Director of Clerking and Head of Finance as Billing Clerk, you will oversee, implement, and continually improve Chambers’ billing systems. The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure that all professional fees are billed accurately and processed promptly. The successful candidate will work closely with both the Clerking (practice management) and Fees teams to streamline billing procedures and implement best practices.

Key Responsibilities
* Responsible for Chambers Time Recording system and prompt transfer of times to cases.
* Chasing, where necessary relevant persons for billing information.
* Process invoices and fee notes across all practice areas and funding streams at appropriate times.
* To ensure prompt payment of Chambers invoices and fee notes check bills are correctly addressed and meet the client’s requirements i.e. PO numbers, references etc
* Deal with all queries regarding time recording and billing (invoices and fee notes).
* Prompt follow-up of billing queries and requests.
* Oversee submission of bills/payments.
Professional Qualifications
* 8+ years in a similar role (preferably in another leading Chambers)
* Strong communication and negotiation skills
* The ability to handle challenging conversations with tact and professionalism
* Detail-oriented with the ability to think strategically and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
