If so, Novus are looking for people like you to join their team as a English Teacher at HMP Leeds!\n\nWe have a great opportunity to join Novus, our prison education provider at HMP Leeds, working as an English Teacher. Established in 1847, it has played a significant role in the UK's correctional system. The facility can house over 1,200 inmates and offers various programs aimed at rehabilitation and skill development. Leeds Prison is a prominent correctional facility in West Yorkshire, UK, with a long history of housing inmates of varying categories.\n\nWhat the role entails\n\nAs an English Teacher, you will develop and deliver high quality, learner-focused education to meet contractual requirements and standards, in line with Novus policies and procedure; supporting learners and colleagues alike to ensure the best outcome for all who work within our sector.

You'll be a self-starter with a passion to learn and grow yourself and will bring passion, dedication, and positivity to your new role.\n\nTo be effective in the role of English Teacher, you will need to:\n\nBe willing to develop and work towards Level 5 Certificate in Education and a subject specialism in English OR hold a teaching qualification and where applicable, relevant subject specialist qualification - with a commitment to obtain the outstanding qualification within 12 months\nHold at least a Level 2 qualification in Literacy and Numeracy\nHold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)/ Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS) or commit to work towards within a specified timeframe\nAspire to develop in the role as an English (or Maths) Teacher\nEnthusiasm and commitment to a career in teaching \n\nRemuneration and Benefits\n\nSuccessful candidates will be offered a salary of between £29,047 to £38,124 per annum, dependent on your level of qualifications and experience.\n\nAs part of the LTE Group family, you will also benefit from an excellent package including:\n\n40 days annual leave plus 8 bank holidays\n2 hours for wellbeing / personal development per week\nSignificant Pension contributions\nRetail Discounts\nEmployee Assistance Program\nCycle to work scheme \n\nThe LTE Group is an equal opportunities employer, welcoming applications from all sections of the community.
