Estimator – Multi Utilities
Location: Slough
Toro Recruitment are seeking a skilled Estimator to join a prominent national Multi-Utilities provider. This full-time position is based around the Slough area and involves overseeing and managing projects across the Southern region. The role offers an exciting opportunity to work on a diverse range of multi-utility projects, from LV/HV electrical to water and gas utilities, supporting the company's continued growth and success in the industry.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage Multi-Utility Projects: Oversee a portfolio of multi-utility projects at various stages of the pre-award process across three geographical regions.
* Tender Package Development: Prepare technically competent, financially viable, and competitive multi-utility tender packages, including financial estimates, tender proposal drawings, and all necessary documentation.
* Design Compliance: Ensure all designs meet group and industry standards and are technically sound.
* Pre-Tender Risk Assessment: Conduct pre-tender route walks and complete risk assessments, highlighting any health, safety, or commercial risks.
* Coordination with Internal Teams: Liaise with the Tendering Manager and Sales Team to manage priorities and ensure seamless communication.
* Tender Package Approval: Work closely with the Tendering Manager to obtain necessary approvals before issuing tender packages to the Sales Team or other stakeholders.
Ideal Candidate Requirements:
* HNC in Electrical Engineering, ideally with a focus on Power Distribution or equivalent qualification.
* Experience in Private Networks and/or the Renewable Energy sector.
* Familiarity with relevant Health & Safety legislation.
* Strong teamwork skills with the ability to contribute to a positive working culture.
* Ability to interpret technical diagrams and clearly explain design concepts.
* Analytical skills to assess complex problems and identify effective solutions.
* Strong decision-making, communication, and organizational skills.
Salary & Package:
* Full time permanent position
* Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 - Private Health Insurance, Performance bonuses.
* £5,000 car allowance
* 25 days holiday plus Bank Holiday
