Audit Manager – Cheltenham Healthcare Sector

This firm’sHealthcare teamprovides tailored accountancy advice to a wide range of healthcare clients, from care providers to private equity investors, covering everything from tax returns to the sale of healthcare businesses. Key Responsibilities:
* Take full responsibility for aportfolio of clients, including privately owned and private equity-backed companies, managing all aspects of theiraudit, accounts, and tax matters.
* Lead and manage the audit process from planning through to completion, ensuring statutoryfinancial reportingand client communication.
* Act as the primary point of contact for clients, including attendingboard meetingsand dealing with day-to-day queries.
* Collaborate closely with thetax departmentto manage tax computations and address bothpersonal and corporate taxissues.
* Supervise and mentor junior staff, helping them to develop their technical and professional skills.
* Foster a dynamic, inclusive, and collaborative work environment where talent thrives, and team members work towards shared goals.
* KeepPartners and Directorsupdated on client progress and manage internal workflows effectively.
* Review and identifyefficiency improvementsin internal working practices.
* Assist theCorporate Finance teamwith specialist assignments, including acquisition advice, business disposals, finance raising, preparing projections, and sector research.
You will thrive in this role if:
* You areACA/ACCA qualifiedwith a strong background inaudit and accounts.
* You have experience ofsystems controls testing, as well assubstantive and analytical review auditing techniques, includingconsolidations,group audits,statutory accountsand disclosures, and use ofpaperless electronic audit files.
* You understand thebigger pictureas well as auditing individual balances, and are able to manage both in tandem.
* You have agood working knowledgeofUK accounting and auditing standards(UK GAAP, IFRS, ISAs, Companies Act legislation).
* You havewell-developed supervisory skills, includingcoachingandmotivating audit assistants.
