Job summary
To develop and deliver SystmOne units and support for the trust SystmOne application at The James Cook University Hospital, Friarage Hospital and peripheral sites and trust locations.
To maintain all SystmOne units and templates in a state where the business processes of the Trust can be guaranteed. Ensure that planned and unplanned interruptions to these services and systems are dealt with efficiently and satisfactorily.
To provide specialist support and advice on system specification, configuration and requirements.
Main duties of the job
To assist all colleagues in the ICT function with application support for all systems housed in the Trust computer rooms and cloud based. These systems include but not limited to; SystmOne, CaMIS, E-CaMIS, Web Ice, APEX, Choose and Book, e-prescribing, Smartcards, e-discharge and Symphony.
Plan, schedule and take responsibility for delivering work to the highest standards, to deadline and customer requirements in order to deliver tasks within the project plan to timescale, escalating where appropriate.
Take responsibility for own professional development and proactively seek best practice in field.
Respond to new requests from Collaboratives by accessing clinical systems and database configuration and advising on queries.
The post holder must hold a current driving licence and be prepared to travel between sites regularly.
Investigate problems/issues/bugs reported against all supported applications within the ICT function. Where possible provide a solution or contact relevant suppliers to assist in fault resolution.

Qualifications
Essential
1. Educated to degree level in a suitable or appropriate professional qualification or substantial working experience in a related ICT technical environment
2. Prince2 Practitioner (or equivalent project management methodology).
Desirable
3. City & Guilds Teaching certificate 7306 and / or 7307.
Knowledge
Essential
4. Substantial experience of managing IT systems and applications in a large user based working environment.
5. Substantial experience of using specialist electronic IT healthcare systems.
6. Excellent IT knowledge of various IT systems, software and applications including, Windows, Microsoft outlook, Office 365 and all Microsoft packages.

7. The ability to produce concise, complex, sensitive and technical reports, documentation, policies and procedures.
Desirable
8. Awareness of National Health Service Data standards and statutory information requirements.
