Logistics Coordinator Job Description My client, located between Ashbourne and Derby, is currently seeking a Logistics Coordinator to join their team on an initial temporary basis. Working Hours and Breaks The position offers a structured working week of 37.5 hours. The work schedule is flexible, allowing for either an 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM shift or a 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM shift. Employees are entitled to a 30-minute lunch break. Pay Rate The pay rate for this position is competitive, with a temporary hourly rate of £13.33 per hour (paid weekly). Daily Responsibilities As a Logistics Coordinator, your daily responsibilities will include the following tasks: •Calling customers to schedule deliveries. •Booking deliveries online promptly and accurately. •Answering queries from the Sales Team and providing necessary support. •Communicating with drivers to obtain updates on delivery statuses. •Negotiating rates with hauliers to ensure cost-efficiency. •Assisting the planners with any other ad-hoc tasks as required. Required Skills and Experience Proficiency in Google Mail and Google Sheets is essential for this role.
