Location: Teith House Kerse Road Stirling, FK7 7QA
As part of the general Supply Teaching Pool, you will provide high-quality learning and teaching where cover is required within Stirling Council Schools and Educational Establishments.
You will be required to teach assigned classes together with associated preparation and assessment of children’s work; assist in developing the school curriculum; and participate in activities related to school planning, raising attainment, monitoring and tracking the progress of pupils, and individual review where appropriate. You will provide advice and guidance to pupils on issues relating to their education, working in partnership with parents, support staff, and other professionals. You will also contribute towards the good order and wider needs of the school.
There is an expectation that successful candidates will undertake training deemed essential to the position. You will have a relevant teaching qualification together with GTCs registration. With excellent interpersonal skills, you will have demonstrable classroom practice and sound knowledge of Curriculum for Excellence and National Qualifications, where appropriate.
All teachers, other than probationers, who are registered with the General Teaching Council for Scotland and appointed to posts in Stirling Council establishments will be placed on point 1 of the Main Grade Salary Scale or such higher point as determined with reference to this agreement and SNCT 35. Probationers are placed on Point 0 of the Main Grade Salary Scale until they have achieved full registration with GTC(S).
The successful candidate will be required to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups Scheme (PVG) for Children.
