Job Description
* £26,409 - £28,624 per annum
We are seeking an Information Governance Assistant to join our central services team. Reporting to the Information Governance Lead, you will support the trust’s schools to ensure compliance with Data Protection, GDPR and other information governance requirements. You will also support the trust in meeting regulatory requirements in these areas.
You will have a busy and varied workload and be responsible for a variety of key tasks supporting schools and the trust in the areas of Data Protection, GDPR and other information governance requirements including:
* Maintaining accurate and up to date records and ensuring compliance with statutory timescale.
* Creating, preparing and circulating templates and resources for reporting and recording.
* Maintaining training records and arranging training for staff across the trust.
* Completing and maintaining records of data processors, data systems and monitoring and reviewing access rights, controls and security.
You may also be asked to support and undertake other administrative work on behalf of the trust’s central services team as necessary.

* Excellent communicators who work in a confidential and discreet manner, can build and maintain positive working relationships, and are able to think on their feet and use initiative in a busy working environment.
* Experienced in the use of IT systems including Microsoft programmes and easily able to learn how to use new systems and programmes.
* Adaptable and friendly with strong administration, time management and organisational skills.
* Able to multi-task, work hard and maintain a high level of attention to detail when under pressure.
* Able to prioritise workloads effectively, balancing conflicting deadlines and achieving results and deliverables within fixed timescales.
* Some flexibility is required as you will sometimes need to work additional/alternative hours to cover any urgent issues that may arise.
