This team is renowned for its expertise in handling private clients and owner-managed businesses, including individuals, partnerships, and trusts. Day-to-day of the role: Prepare and compute income tax returns as part of the annual personal tax compliance service. Handle Capital Gains Tax computations and returns. Progress to preparing partnership and trust tax returns as your experience develops. Draft correspondence to clients, HM Revenue & Customs, and third parties. Assist with general taxation matters, including delivering ad hoc tax advice. Communicate via telephone with HM Revenue & Customs and other third parties. Perform general administration tasks associated with the annual tax compliance service, including using Microsoft Word and Excel. As you progress, you will have the opportunity to meet with clients and their advisors alongside more senior colleagues. Required Skills & Qualifications: A forward-looking attitude with the ability to use initiative and solve problems. Strong numeracy skills. Quick learning and adaptability in fast-paced environments. Ability to plan and deliver work to tight deadlines. Excellent communication skills. Strong or advanced skills in Microsoft Excel. Degree qualified or about to qualify.
