To be responsible for the collation, collection and inputting of the patient blood monitoring data.
To carry out all administrative duties, in relation to Multiple Sclerosis Disease Modifying Therapies (DMT) Multidisciplinary Team Meetings (MDT) and ensuring appropriate records are maintained.
To liaise closely with patients prescribed Disease Modifying Treatments (DMT’s) – current and future - for MS to quantify accurately compliance to help facilitate accurate, safe and cost effective prescribing.
To contribute to the review of administrative and clerical functions and make recommendations to enhance service provision.

To provide administrative facilitation to MDT meetings, including preparing, organising and circulating agendas/lists of patients for discussion, and ensuring MDT’s run smoothly.
Maintain good working relationships with Clinicians, Specialist Nurses, clerical and secretarial staff.
To use knowledge and experience gained to assist in the training of newer members of the team.
Work flexibly as part of a team, covering for annual leave and sickness.
To keep an accurate record of each cost saving instance with respect to DMT prescribing.
To liaise with Pharmacy and the Homecare Service Provider to help facilitate a smooth medication delivery service and help resolve queries and delivery issues that are raised.
The post holder will be required to use a PC for long periods. This post is classified as a DSE user. The work is office based, with a considerable amount of telephone activity. The physical work is light, for example mainly filing into lever arch files.
There is occasional exposure to agitated and worried patients on the telephone which will require a sympathetic but measured response.
To provide general administrative duties to the MDT teams, to include photocopying, filing, basic clerical duties, distributing documents quickly and efficiently, and the collection of notes.
To attend weekly MDT meetings and to keep a record of the outcome of each discussion.
Work within base at Southmead and within clinical team’s base for communication purposes.
