The salary for this permanent Clinical Team Leader job is £42,500 - £46,500 per annum.

About the Role:
As postholder of this role, you will be expected to manage a team of Registered nurses and Healthcare assistants ensuring the effective assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of high standards of holistic care for an identified group of service users.
You will be responsible for ensuring effective performance management of all clinical staff in line with Brainkind policies and procedures for recruitment, induction, development, supervision, appraisal, and discipline.
Main Duties:
1. Responsible to lead the nursing team in developing the quality of nursing care, acting as a source of support and advice to colleagues and relatives.
2. Delegating clearly and appropriately, adopting the principles of safe practice and assessing competence.
3. Takes responsibility for a service user group, consulting and liaising with the multi-disciplinary team, service users, and family/carers over their care.
4. Assess the impact of policy implementation on care delivery.
5. In consultation with the Head of Clinical Services/Ward Manager, assess potential service users in liaison with Health and/or Social Services commissioners.
6. Plan, develop, implement, and evaluate individualised care using evidence-based guidelines.
7. Produce accurate, contemporaneous, and complete records of service user consultation, consistent with legislation, policies, and procedures, whether in a handwritten or electronic format.
8. Ensure all clinical staff (including self) receive formal documented supervision/clinical supervision in line with professional and statutory requirements. Promote and demonstrate the highest clinical standards and assess through monitoring competencies.
9. Ensure the identification of training needs, and support staff in their development. Actively promote the workplace as a learning environment, encouraging everyone to learn from each other and from external good practice.
10. Provide an educational role to patients, carers, families, and colleagues in an environment that facilitates learning.
11. Share knowledge and expertise with other staff through formal and informal teaching.
12. Act as a mentor to students, assessing competence against set standards as requested and if appropriately qualified.
13. Maintain an understanding of and act in accordance with all policies and procedures.
14. In order to facilitate the safe and smooth running of the Service, employees are expected to maintain a safe working environment, maintain service user confidentiality, and occasionally take on reasonable additional tasks.
Requirements of the Clinical Team Leader:
1. Experience in specialist palliative or neurological care, depending on the service's needs.
2. Proven leadership skills with a track record of building and influencing teams within a clinical environment.
3. In-depth knowledge of current legislation applicable to the independent care sector.
4. Demonstrated ability to work independently with strong self-motivation.
5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the capability to deliver difficult information.
