We are actively seeking independent Technical Assessors specialising in Asset Management against ISO 55001:2014/2024. In this role, you’ll conduct assessments across industries, review practices like life cycle delivery, asset optimisation, asset management strategies and risk management. This is an independent contract position, not a permanent full time post.
Qualifications:
* Holding an Institute of Asset Management Certificate or Diploma is desirable but not essential.
* Higher National Diploma or equivalent academic qualification in an engineering, construction, facilities management or scientific discipline is preferable but not mandatory, as competence can also be gained through prior training and experience.
Knowledge/Skills: Assessors must have the technical capability to understand and question the application of the requirements of ISO 55001:2014/2024 in various operating environments. They should demonstrate awareness of Asset Management Systems, including:
* Key practices and methodologies, such as:
* Asset Management Policies, Strategies, and Objectives
* Strategic Asset Management Plans (SAMP)
* Integrated Asset Management Systems and Processes
* Demand Analysis and Strategic Planning
* Capital Investment / Decision Making
* Procurement & Supply Chain Management
* Asset Information (including BIM for Built Assets)
* Lifecycle Delivery and Maintenance Planning
* Risk Assessment & Reliability Engineering
* Monitoring & Assurance
* Asset Decommissioning & Disposal
System standards and normative documents:
* ISO 55000 – Overview, principles, and terminology
* ISO 55001 – Management systems – Requirements
* ISO 55002 – Management systems – Guidelines
* ISO 55010 – Financial and non-financial functions
* ISO 55011 – Development of public policy
* ISO 55012 – People involvement and competence
* ISO 55013 – Management of data assets
* Business Sectors and applicable management practices
* Typical products, services, and processes covered by AMS
Experience: A background or significant involvement in managing, maintaining, or project-managing typical assets in at least one of the following sectors is expected:
* Light Manufacturing
* Heavy Manufacturing
* Railways
