Working for a leading public sector organisation in Sheffield, you will be joining a busy Payroll department and will assist and support both the Senior Payroll and Pensions Officer and Payroll and Pensions Officer.
- Must be able to travel to Sheffield City Centre.
Your new role
1. Provide an accurate and timely payroll service
2. Assist with the development, maintenance and administration of the Payroll System
3. To perform accurate calculations for all statutory payments, have a clear understanding of regulations and apply rules to reconcile data for payments, both to employees and HMRC
4. To balance and reconcile all pay variances, both permanent and temporary data, run reports within the payroll system and use a number of different balance sheets to reconcile
5. To manage and maintain the day-to-day payroll tasks to ensure payroll processing deadlines are adhered to.
6. To deal with all day-to-day aspects of pension administration, GMP system updates and setting up new pension records together with annual pension increase updates.
