St. Luke's Hospice are a local charity providing compassionate care to people whose illnesses are no longer curable. We promote dignity in dying and empower people to make the choices they want, from the moment they are diagnosed.
Our team is continually looking for compassionate healthcare professionals who can uphold our values. Currently, we are in need of an experienced and dedicated Bank Registered Nurse to join our care services team.
About the role
As a Bank Registered Nurse at our Hospice, you will deliver high quality, patient-focused care, ensure the comfort of patients, administer treatment and medication, and liaise with other healthcare professionals about patients' status and care. You should be a Registered Nurse with experience in palliative care, possess excellent communication and care skills, and have a passion for enhancing the quality of life for those we serve.
Salary: £16.66 per hour, plus enhancements
Contract: Casual Hours
Hours: Variable, as needed, Early, lates, long days, nights weekday and weekend shifts
Location: On-site in Basildon Hospice and Thurrock Hospice
Other responsibilities include:
1. Providing high-quality patient care
2. Administering medications and treatments
3. Coordinating patient care with the multidisciplinary team
4. Monitoring and reporting changes in patient conditions
5. Educating patients and their families on their conditions and care requirements
About you:
1. Registered Nurse with valid NMC pin number
2. Preferable experience in palliative care
3. Strong clinical leadership skills
4. Excellent communication and teamwork skills
5. Commitment to the mission of St Luke's Hospice
